I do not accept insurance at this time.
I'm happy to provide you with a superbill for possible reimbursement for services. A superbill includes everything you need to submit an out-of-network claim with your insurance provider.
Payment is due at the time of service, and superbills are provided monthly to support your reimbursement process.
Every insurance is different. If you're considering this option, I recommend calling your insurance company directly to ask how their out-of-network reimbursement process works. You can find more information about out-of-network therapy coverage here.

My practice is primarily in-person. I find that meeting face-to-face for our sessions most of the time is supportive of the kind of work we'll be doing together.
That said, we may choose to meet via teletherapy in occasional instances when meeting in the office isn't viable. This might include dangerous weather conditions, health concerns, or in-state travel. In most cases, I'm able to accommodate a virtual appointment when planned with care and advance notice. -
Individual sessions are typically held weekly for 50 minutes.
Meeting at a consistent weekly frequency is an important part of building a strong therapeutic foundation early on and supports our work to flourish.
My clinical recommendation is that new clients begin with weekly sessions for at least the first 3-4 months. After that, we can talk about adjusting frequency together in ways that feel supportive to your treatment.Sometimes, during a crisis or a particularly hard time, meeting more than once a week or for longer sessions can help. If that comes up, we'll decide together what makes the most sense for you.
-
The total length of treatment varies according to the nature of your work in therapy.
The first 2-4 sessions are for us to get to know each other. This gives me a chance to understand what's bringing you to therapy and to get a sense of what our work together could look like. It's also a chance for you to get a sense of me and my approach, and whether I'm the right therapist for you.
Once we feel like a good fit, we'll set goals, explore your history, and set the foundation for our work together. From there, we dive into the core of the work, which consists of understanding issues, processing them, and integrating changes over time. -
Therapy is a co-created process, involving the collaboration of both client and therapist. It will ask you to engage deeply with yourself, and will require your active participation during and between our sessions.
Each session is responsive to what you bring, whether we stay with language or invite gentle movement as another way of knowing. We move at a pace that feels right for you, leave room for your needs and goals to evolve, and explore what arises in ways that are meaningful for you.
Throughout this process, your feedback is essential. It's important that you feel comfortable working with me, and I encourage open dialogue between us. If you have questions or doubts, I want us to talk about them as they come up. I'm very transparent as a therapist and happy to explain my approach and methods at any time. -
Dance/Movement Therapy (D/MT) is a specialized, evidence-based form of psychotherapy that uses dance, movement, body awareness, and embodied communication to foster healing and wellness. It's grounded in the understanding that mind and body are deeply interconnected, changes in one reflect and influence changes in the other.
Sometimes words are not enough. As a Registered Dance/Movement Therapist, I draw from somatic psychology, current neuroscience research, creative arts approaches, and expressive therapies. I'm skilled at gently supporting exploration into how the body and movement can offer insight, change, and wellbeing. With respect and appreciation for the ancient and indigenous ways dance and movement have always been healing, I use the D/MT framework to bring creativity and depth to the therapeutic process.
How I incorporate somatic approaches is unique for each client. This can look like anything from stillness to expressive movement, and everything in between. This type of work supports being in relationship with your body in a way that helps you move through life's rhythms with greater ease and grace.
You can learn more about D/MT from the American Dance Therapy Association. -
Not at all! No prior dance or movement experience is necessary. All bodies, abilities, and experiences are welcome and celebrated.I understand the word "dance" can sometimes stir up uneasy feelings. Let me simplify: your breath is movement, your heartbeat is rhythm... that's dance!
Sessions can look like anything from stillness to subtle body awareness to more expressive movement –– entirely shaped around what feels accessible, comfortable, and meaningful to you.
And yes, I still offer traditional talk therapy. I thoughtfully weave together my clinical knowledge and skills to meet you wherever you are. -
I work exclusively with individual adults. I don't currently offer couples, family, child, or adolescent therapy.
In some instances, I can offer adjunctive therapy to these populations. When a client is already working with a primary therapist, I can collaborate with that provider to offer somatic and movement-based support as part of the treatment team.
If this feels relevant to you, I recommend first discussing it with your primary provider. From there, you or your therapist are welcome to reach out and we can talk about whether it's a good fit. -
Reaching out is the first step. I'm glad you're considering it!
Fill out my contact form. I'll follow up by email to schedule a brief connection call, usually about 10-15 minutes.
This call gives us a chance to say hello, for me to hear a bit about what's going on for you, and to see if my services and availability are a good fit for what you're looking for.
If it feels like a good match, we'll find a time to schedule your first session.
