The choice to begin therapy takes courage.
It’s also the first step in a journey toward healing, self-discovery, and meaningful growth.
I’m so glad you’ve found your way here.
Hi, I’m Kelsey Blair.
(she/they)
I’m an embodied and relational psychotherapist licensed in Austin, TX. My practice is Embodied Willow, a name inspired by the inherent wisdom of the body and rich symbolism of the willow tree.
Dancing in the spaces between art, science, and soul, I weave experiential, dynamic, creative and somatic therapies into my work with individuals and groups.
In addition to my education in Psychology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I have advanced specialized training in Dance/Movement Therapy. Depending on your needs and interests, we can integrate expressive and body-based approaches alongside verbal therapy to support your goals.
Whether we are navigating the depths of your inner world or the complexity of relationships, we will co-create a space that offers a sense of warmth, openness, and curiosity towards all that emerges. As insight unfolds, we will explore your inner resources supporting healing, growth, and meaningful change.

How I work
Experiential
My work is grounded in the belief that healing begins with presence –– in our bodies, in our relationships, and in the moment we’re in. I work experientially with what is happening in the here-and-now, attuning to your inner experience and in the shared space between us. This attention to the present moment cultivates awareness of your direct experience, allowing new experience and possibilities to take root.
Depth-Oriented
I care about both what brings relief now and what supports lasting change over time. I'm deeply interested in what's underneath: the patterns, history, and experiences that continue to shape who you are today. Through consistent weekly sessions, we'll have space to explore both immediate needs and deeper experiences. We'll tend to day-to-day support while working toward long-term healing.
Holistic
I heartfully acknowledge our mind, body, and brain as an integrated whole within a social and cultural context, and am committed to holding how these experiences shape mental health and personal growth. I approach you as a whole person, not a diagnosis or a symptom to fix.
Embodied
The mind and body are deeply interconnected, reflecting and influencing each other. When we move, we are dancing with our nervous system and can directly access the implicit neurological processes underlying consciousness. Embodied participation in the present moment can help shift how we feel inside and support healthier relationships with ourselves and others.
Relational
Research consistently shows the relationship between therapist and client is one of the strongest predictors of successful therapy. I show up with warmth, curiosity, attunement, and a bit of playfulness, along with gentle challenge when it's helpful. There's room here to go deep, and room to laugh. More than that, I pay close attention to what's arising between us, in real time, trusting it as a meaningful part of the process.
Collaborative
I view therapy as a deeply collaborative process. You're the expert on your own experience, and I bring curiosity, clinical training, and presence to support what emerges. Together, we create a space that feels warm, grounded, and spacious enough for what's unfolding.
Psychological Theories & Therapy Framework
-
Centers on the belief that people already hold the capacity for growth and self-understanding, with insight emerging through direct, present-moment experience rather than analysis alone.
-
Honors how identity, culture, and broader systems shape mental health and healing, through a trauma-informed and culturally-responsive lens. All of who you are is welcome in this space.
-
Attends to how our earliest relationships shape the way we connect, trust, and feel safe with others throughout our lives. This integrative framework weaves together bodily experience and conscious awareness, supporting a more coherent mind, integrated body, and connected relationships.
-
Explores unconscious patterns and relational dynamics that shape how you experience yourself and others, with particular attention to what unfolds within the therapeutic relationship itself as a place for insight and change.
-
Integrates body-based approaches, including Dance/Movement Therapy, that support awareness, regulation, and healing beyond what words alone can offer.
-
Cultivates present-moment awareness and a grounded, non-judgmental relationship with one's own inner experience.
